Quando já não for possível voltar atrás na vida, uma decisão passa a sorte e já pouco interessa. Mais vale medir os passos que se dão sem procurar mais do que aquilo que é possível conseguir. De qualquer forma, nada disto verdadeiramente interessa, pois será sempre impossível medir os passos por cima das águas inquietas do Cávado.
When it is no longer possible to go back in life, a decision becomes fortune and it has little interest. It is better to measure the steps that one takes without seeking more than what is achievable. Anyway, none of this really matters, because it will always be impossible to measure the setps above the waters of the restless Cávado.
